MAHALO NUI kakou!!! I want to mahalo each and everyone of you for making our Aloha Ko’olauloa event such a huge success! I have so much mahalo for all the hard work that everyone put into planning, organizing, supporting, man-powering, and praying for our event. There are so many people to mahalo, but in fear that I may forget to mention someone, I want to mahalo KAKOU APAU! I heard so many good things about the food being ‘ono, the music & entertainment being the bomb, and I know that every keiki there had fun! We sold about 100 on-site plates, too! We worked hard together, and I love events like this that make us, as an immersion ‘ohana, more pili (close), more dedicated to our cause, and more involved in our keiki’s lives and the ola o ka ‘olelo Hawai’i. So let’s make this an annual thing!!! Give me feedback!

Here’s a note from our Pelekikena…
Aloha mai kakou,
Just a reminder to mark your calendars…this Wednesday at 6:30 pm at the Hau’ula Cafeteria we are having a halawai (meeting) for all parents and families of kaiapuni.
Lea Alberts and Brad Odigiri will be coming to inform us on what all is happening at Hau’ula Elementary and Kaiapuni, and to report on the investigation that was done at our school as far as “restructuring” is concerned. So you won’t want to miss it!
Also our Kula Kaiapuni o Hau’ula t-shirts are in! The Hau’ula kumu and haumana will get their free shirts at school to wear on Monday’s huaka’i to the Aquarium and the Bishop Museum. The rest of the ‘ohana t-shirt orders will be distributed at the HALAWAI MAKUA. Those who still owe money for their shirts, please bring it to the halawai.
Mahalo nui and please be safe and warm during the cold weather!
Aloha,
Ahulani Wright
Pelekikena, Ke Kula Kaiapuni o Hau’ula

the new T-shirt designs are in, and we are taking orders. As mentioned previously, the first shirt per Kaiapuni child is free, but each additional shirt is $10 for adults, $8 for children’s sizes. Although the deadline has past, please contact Ahulani, Kealii, Rachel, or the teachers to get your shirt order in.
